(  Perimenopause & Menopause )

80% of women will experience symptoms for 7 to 11 years.

Hot flushes, night sweats, brain fog, weight gain, low libido and anxiety through their 40s and 50s. Around 60–80% of women get menopause symptoms that often last 7–11 years.
( Testosterone Crash )

38.7% of men 45+ already have low testosterone.

Less drive, more belly fat, weaker lifts, poor sleep and a flat libido. Testosterone starts sliding in your 30s–40s; by 45+ almost 4 in 10 men already test low.
( Recovery Hormone Decline )

Poor recovery from training and injury starts in your 30s.

Slower recovery from training and injury, more body fat and weaker performance. After 30, growth hormone falls about 15% per decade; by 60 you’re on roughly half your repair signal.

( Muscle Meltdown )

3–8% of muscle mass is gone every decade after you turn 30.

Shrinking strength, slower recovery and stubborn fat that refuses to move. From around 30, adults who don’t lift lose 3–8% of their muscle every decade, faster after 60.
(  Muscle mortality )

Less muscle = up to 63× higher risk of all cause death.

Arrive at older age under-muscled and everything gets riskier: in adults 65+, very low limb muscle meant up to a 63× higher death risk in women and 11× in men over just four years.
( Body composition & Dementia )

A larger waistline = 3.6x higher risk of dementia.

It’s about body composition, not just kilos. In people aged 40–45, obesity with a large waist meant about 3.6× higher dementia risk decades later; even “just overweight” with a big waist roughly doubled it.

(  Metabolic timebomb  )

Metabolic syndrome = 5× diabetes, ~2× heart attack or stroke

Big waist, high blood pressure, bad cholesterol and high sugar together make you ~5× more likely to get type 2 diabetes and roughly twice as likely to have a heart attack or stroke.
(  Hormones & Mood )

Perimenopause = 40% higher risk of depression.

Anxiety, irritability, tearfulness, poor sleep, brain fog - often dismissed as “just stress”. Perimenopause brings a 40% higher risk of depression.
( Fatty Liver SIgnal )

1 in 3 adults now has fatty liver – with ~60% higher heart risk

Non-alcoholic fatty liver affects around a third of adults and raises heart-attack and stroke risk by roughly 60% – often picked up first as mild liver-enzyme changes on a blood test.

Frequently asked questions

Haven’t found what you’re looking for?
Try our Help Center — we’re here to answer your questions.

What happens after I sign up?

Here's exactly what to expect:

  1. Complete your health questionnaire — this helps us determine which blood tests are most relevant for you.
  2. Receive your pathology referral — usually within 24 hours of completing your questionnaire.
  3. Get your blood drawn at a certified lab near you — no appointment needed at most locations.
  4. We notify you when your results are in — typically 2–5 business days after your test.
  5. Book your first doctor consultation — our doctor will review your results and build your personalised care plan.
  6. Receive your plan — covering lifestyle, nutrition, training, and any therapies our doctor considers appropriate.
  7. If medication is prescribed, our pharmacy partner will contact you directly to arrange dispensing and delivery.

From sign-up to your first consultation typically takes 1–2 weeks, depending on how quickly you complete your blood test.

What’s included in the membership price?

Your Chapter membership covers everything you need to get started and stay on track throughout the year:

  • Advanced blood panel (50+ biomarkers) at sign-up
  • 5 doctor consultations per year with a proactive health practitioner
  • Follow-up blood tests at weeks 12, 24, 36, and 52
  • Personalised care plan, updated after each consult
  • Access to your Chapter dashboard — lab results, doctor notes, and progress tracking. All is one place.
  • Nurse support between appointments
  • Free shipping on medications from our partner pharmacy
  • AI health coach (coming soon)

Medications are not included in the membership price. If our practitioner prescribes treatment, this is billed separately by our compounding pharmacy partner. You'll always be informed of costs before anything is dispensed.

How much do medications cost?

Medication costs vary depending on what is prescribed and the quantity dispensed. Medications are billed separately by our compounding pharmacy partner — they are not included in your Chapter membership.

You'll always receive a clear price from the pharmacy before anything is dispensed.

Can I cancel my membership?

Yes. The monthly plan requires a minimum 3-month commitment ($298 per month, billed as $894 upfront), after which you can cancel at any time with no exit fees.

The annual plan is billed as a single payment of $2,980 and is non-refundable after your initial blood tests have been issued. We'd encourage you to reach out to our team before cancelling so we better understand your circumstances

Do I need a GP referral before I join?

No. You don't need a referral from your GP to join Chapter. You can sign up directly through our platform and we'll take care of the rest.

Once you've created your account and completed your health questionnaire, we'll issue you a referral for your initial blood tests. These are processed through a certified Australian pathology lab — no GP visit required.

Why do I need to do a blood test first?

Because guesswork isn't good enough.

Your symptoms tell part of the story — your blood tells the rest. Before our doctor makes any recommendations, we want to understand exactly where your hormones, metabolism, inflammation markers, and other key systems actually sit.

This means your first consultation is built around your data, not assumptions. Our doctor will have a comprehensive picture of your health before you walk in — so you spend your time discussing what matters, not ordering more tests.

It also protects you. Evidence-based treatment starts with evidence.

Where can I get my blood test done?

Once you’ve completed your health questionnaire and payment, we’ll issue you a referral for your blood tests. You can take this to any of our participating pathology partners across Australia — no appointment needed at most locations.

Our current lab partners by state:

  • NSW & ACT — Laverty Pathology
  • VIC — Dorevitch Pathology
  • QLD — Queensland Medical Laboratories (QML)
  • WA — Western Diagnostic Pathology
  • SA — Abbott Pathology
  • TAS — Tasmanian Medical Laboratories (TML)

Your referral will specify which lab partner to use based on your state. Simply walk in to your nearest collection centre — a full list of locations is available via the link in your referral email. Your blood test is included in your membership. You won’t be charged at the collection centre.

Who are the doctors on Chapter?

Chapter connects you with independent, AHPRA-registered doctors who specialise in integrative and preventative medicine, with a focus on hormone health and longevity. All practitioners on our platform are fully qualified and registered in Australia.

What conditions or goals is Chapter suited for?

Chapter is designed for people who want to take a proactive approach to their health — not manage an existing diagnosis.

Our members commonly come to us with goals like:

  • Understanding and optimising their hormone levels
  • Improving energy, sleep, and recovery
  • Managing the effects of perimenopause or menopause
  • Addressing low testosterone and its impact on vitality
  • Improving body composition and metabolic health
  • Building a data-driven longevity strategy

Chapter is not suited for acute illness, emergency care, or the management of complex chronic disease. If you're dealing with a serious medical condition, please speak with your GP or specialist first.

Can I claim Chapter through Medicare or private health insurance?

Chapter is a private, out-of-pocket service. Consultations, blood tests, and memberships are not currently claimable through Medicare or private health insurance. This allows our doctors to spend genuine time with you. We believe the investment reflects the depth of care you receive.

What is the Single Consult & Bloods option?

Not ready for an annual membership? The Single Consult & Bloods option gives you a one-time introduction to the Chapter model.

For $529, you'll receive:

  • An advanced blood panel (50+ biomarkers)
  • A consultation with a Chapter-affiliated doctor to review your results
  • Access to relevant treatment pathways, where clinically appropriate

This is a great starting point if you want to understand your baseline before committing to an ongoing membership. If you choose to join as a member within 30 days, your $529 will be credited toward your first membership payment.

How is Chapter different from my family GP?

Your GP is an essential part of your healthcare — Chapter is designed to complement that relationship, not replace it.

The difference is in depth, time, and focus. A standard GP appointment is 15 minutes. Chapter gives you five in-depth consults per year with doctors who specialise in preventative medicine, hormonal health, and longevity — and who have reviewed your full biomarker profile before you speak.

Chapter is also longitudinal. We track your results over time, adjust your plan as your data evolves, and proactively flag changes — rather than waiting for something to go wrong.

If you need acute care, emergency treatment, or management of a complex chronic condition, your GP remains your first point of contact. Chapter is your proactive health partner for everything in between.
